Our Neighbours
To the immediate south of us, the Georgian Yacht Club was established in 1946 and moved to its present location on the west shore of Owen Sound just inside the city limits on October 30th, 1952.
The G.Y.C. has a total of 150 full members and approximately 70 associate members. This club caters to both power and sail boats.
Both marinas allow you to take your boat into the inner harbour and moor in the heart of downtown Owen Sound, where everything is just steps away.
To the south of G.Y.C. is the Georgian Shores Marina Owen Sound. It was originally developed in 1978, as the Owen Sound Marina (with the Clog & Thistle restaurant) by Fraser McGruer and partners Vandestadt and Otto Visser, The property has undergone significant investment over the past few years and was acquired by Maple Leaf Marinas, the largest owner of operating marinas in Canada, during the Spring of 2021. It has some 300 boat slips and accommodates power boats and sailboats.
